I'd like to see him do it. It's quite a feat. (whether on 'roids or not)

Bonds is a steriod freak and should be penalized like every other player in the league.

The league either has to come out an admit steriod abuse by it's players or stand up and do something about it.

Any player who uses a band substance in my opinion is a cheat.

The records are created by aid and should be marked as such.

If a sprinter sets a record in extreme winds , the record is noted as wind aided.

The same markings should stand for all other pro - athletes.

If a testing system is implemented any player going for a record should have to offer a sample on the spot or the record should not stand.

If not guilty there should be no problem.

So no push to see bond break the record, as it does not hold any merit. He , until the league requirements change is just another inflated hero taking short cuts to success.

I would love for him to break the record, they don't do anything special to celebrate it, then he retires before he gets tested for steroids again, wait 5 years not get enough votes to get into the hall of fame, and he ends up waiting 3 or 4 years before they finally decide to let him in, but since Bud Seligs dumbass is finally retiring in 2008 the new commisioner (hopefully mike greenie from the mike & mike show) calls out barry bonds and tells him he is band from baseball for cheating, not aloud in the hall of fame, and his name will be erased from the record books...Then he turns to the media and says you people just voted a man who cheated into the sacred hall of fame, the highest honor an athlete can recieve, well if ur going to let a man who cheated and destroyed the integrity of this game, by unfairly breaking the most coveted record of all time...Then Greeny will ask the crowd, do you know any other men that are band from baseball and not aloud in the hall of fame...some shouts the chicago black sox, ya well they cheated, finally some says charlie hustle...Greeny says, that's right, Pete Rose one of the best most consistant hitters of all time, who played this game with so much heart, a true example of how to play baseball...hustle and heart... you guys are penalizing him and dismissing his entire career because he made a few bets...lets see, steroids illegal, betting legal, steroids ruins the sanctity of the game, betting on games just shows that he has too much money...

I don't really care. I think the Giants suck. The only thing going for them this year is Barry Bonds record and the All Star game. That's it.

Not I !!! Let's all hope the rightful Home Run King - Hank Aaron keeps his crown.

1. I hope Bonds gets hurt and needs to retire.
2. Or Gets caught red handed with the needle and tests positive.
3. Or better yet, gets indicted and goes to jail for tax fraud, perjury, or someting like that.

The guy is a disgrace to the sport.

NOT ME!!! I hate drugs! I hate drug users/abusers!
Why would anyone want bonds to break a record that he got only by cheating just so they could wrap themselvs up in the moment of seeing it happen in their lifetime?? How stupid is that? I'd love for that to happen in my lifetime, but not if it happens with a cheater like barry!!! What message would that send to kids who look up to players as role models? True, the kids should find other people to use as role models instead of drug-crazed idiots, but what can you do there? Maybe Pete Rose should be allowed in. After all, he bet on games, not dangerous to anyone but himself. But bonds and his like i.e., mark McGuire, and unfortunately, if its true, even Sammy Sosa should be left out! McGuire is as bad if not worse than bonds since he already broke a record. I think there should be an asterisk by that record as well.
If bonds were to break the record, I say don't expunge it, leave it there but put a huge asterisk by it and leave the true home run king where he currently is! Let future generations know what a dirty cheat bonds is...give him no credit for the breaking of any record and KEEP HIM OUT OF THE HALL OF FAME!!!!! Maguire as well should not be in HOF. Baseball has taken many hits because of big money contracts and jerks who don't deserve to even be on a field that housed greats like Babe Ruth or Roger Maris. We need to get the game back to basics. Let kids today know that you are not granted rewards by cheating like barry!!!!!

I don't just want him to break it, I want Bonds to detroy the record. Hopefully he can stay healthy enough to get to 800 hr. That would shut up the media from dogging him. Bonds is the best, all time.

Let me first state i am not a fan of Barry Bonds or the Giants in anyway. I believe it is unfair for Barry to be treated the way he has because he used an illegal substance that probably 95% of all MLB players were using. So now to the part of whehter i am rooting for him or not. The answer is I dont care either way. I'll be just as happy if he breaks it or he doesnt. So Barry is a legend, deserves to be treated better. For all i care, i hope barry can break it so i can say yes, watched the all-time HR champ

barry "steroids" bonds, should quit B.B. before he ties H.A. record, or at least an asterisk should be placed next to his record. bonds is a joke

me

but lets get this right. half of the these people want pete rose (ya know a admitted gambler) to be in the hall...even though he signed the papers agreeing to be kept out of the hall. they also love many of the older players who were card carrying memebers of the kkk ....ya know half of the early hall of fame players. so they need to question a lot of people before they do barry.

then they also say players like helton (i can name so many) who had this huge sudden drop off in production-is clean..even though there's people have called him out on it..oh but its not coinsidence when he suddenly loses 25 lbs and can't suddenly hit a ball to the warning track (ironic enough look at the numbers starting with helton..half the league no all of the league had career years during the years barry was supposed to have been juiced-they were questioning him when he hit 49 in 2000..but didn't when helton..who by the way wasn't never a power hitter at any level..suddently hits 49..yes it was coors field...lol) by the way it should be noted that barry had hit 46 and would have hit 50 in 94 if the strike didn't happen and again in what.97?98? when he had 37 bombs in like 90 games(oh yeah he was juiced ..but yet missed half of the season due to injury)

the game of baseball hasn't been pure since they let racists into the hall of fame (i know i know..it was part of society..aaaaaaaaand? so is taking suppliments in todays world). so that should tell you just how long it hasn't been pure. when they added wild card teams..it became even less pure...and it was much fair when babe ruth was playing on a field that had the deminison of

289 in left

400 in center

290 in right

you don't hear them mentioning that now do you? (by the way softball fields are bigger) and for the record ruth was a dead pull hitter...

i say this and i stand by it.

LET THEM CHEAT. i don't care. i want to see bombs being hit and people hitting the crap out of the ball. this isn't hockey nor is it soccer. i want to see runs scored. as time goes by things evolve. so what if someone takes something to help them get better faster. lance dopestrong did it-with blood transfusions--but yet that's not cheating-and he probably did it taking the same crap bonds was-but he got away with it simply because he beat the french and is a republican.

now we have the gov trying to get barry. did you know that george mitchell once ran diseny? did you also know that he worked for espn? did you also know that espn is owned by disney? and did you also know that the only news to have a reporter follow barry bonds has been espn? so i think that speaks for itself. espn as usual trying to create news telling you that you care..when in fact most people could care less.

in fact the gov couldn't win the war on real drugs so now they try to win a war on drugs in baseball-sayings its for the kids....lol....that ball players must set an example.... ironic being as this is the same gov that once cheered when the berlin wall came crashing down but at this very moment is trying to put up its own wall to keep "illegals" out. why isn't that wall being erected on canadas boarder as well? (i think you see what i'm getting at)...so i don't think the gov or most of americans should be talking about right and wrong when they support the above things i just mentioned and espeically support this war we are in.

so i'll be front and center when barry breaks the record...one because i'm a season ticket holder..but also because i just want him to piss all the hypocrites off...
