White beach tries but fails to be a mini-Boracay type stretch of sand. Been to Puerto lots of times and stayed at white beach, sabang and other places.

By far the best place to stay is Kalaw Place. Has rooms at Php 1550 per room per night. great surroundings, quiet and private, but staying just one night is a bit of a tight schedule. If you're in to get some peace and quiet try this out. See kalawplace.com.ph

But if you like to party and drink the night away, white beach still has a tropical charm to it. although i'd be hard-pressed to recommend a good place to stay here. If you're not picky, you'll be able to haggle for a room at 1500 per night on white beach. This way you won't have to hop around the islands to get your fill of the sand, sun, and booze on your schedule. Try summer connection on the far right end of white beach when you get there.

My friends and I stayed at Mindorrine Oriental last year (contact number: 0917 857 8425; look for Brian) and we found the place OK, both budget and location-wise.
