First of all, we need the vehicle year, type engine size (CID or L), engine type? V6, I-6, 4cyl turbo, Boxster 6, boxster 4, v10,
v8, v12?

Also, what was the original power rating of the car in stock form?

How many miles are on the car now?

a typical v8 with an upgraded exhaust will yield up to 15 dyno proven horsepower, add quality headers, the result can yield up to 20 hp.

Of course ti all depends on how you fab the exhaust system....an exhaust with mandrel bends and smooth transitions will yield more power than just making the exhaust pipe diameter larger.

Exhaust pulse wave management is a science, the better you manage your exhaust pulse waves, the better your "extractors" or headers, will clean your spent gases out. The further away from the heads you get the slower these pulsewaves travel, it is at this point that you want a freer flowing exhaust muffler, restrict it and you can add too much backpressure.

a Dynomax can yield you decent results and sound.

A flowmaster has too much resonance and will restrict your exhaust.

A Borla will yield you good results.

Also think about thermal management.....if the pipes are thermal barrier coated, then the gas velocity maintans its speed further back into the exhaust system.

This means a cleaner cylinder for the following power stroke...

This is just the exhaust side....once done, you will need to focus in the intake side....and then the camshaft profile

Exhaust kit- as in put on bigger pipes after cat: some gain reported. The big pipe adapters that put a 350/455 v8 pipe set on the vehicles are the cheapest- 2/5% increase in power claimed. The pipe kits that mount on manifolds- dual cats and mufflers, large diameter claim 10-15% power increase, couple of the car mags say 5-8% on their dyno tests. Cool air intake instead of preheated- maybe a couple hp extra when warmed -depends on how much preheat and restriction in blend valve area- GM was trying for 100 degree intake air temperature. If you're in California you may have a tight emission computer chip that gives 10/20 hp less than 48 state chips. If you don't have to worry about emission tests you may be able to run a 'offroad performance chip' in computer that will give you a extra 5 degree ignition advance at 2500 rpm than stock and a noticable increase in hp. some states noted to allow this kind of chip change when the vehicle has commercile over 10,000 lb truck plates instead of light truck/car plates. Chip and Exhaust, air flow modifications fairly practical, the replacing of camshafts and blower kits mean more money needed. Latham axial flow/Paxton blower kits for high altitude are maybe a better fit on street than a turbo kit. Trailer pullers, campers in high country have used them for years- 2/4 pound boost, belt drives. I think it's Granetteli in Denver that makes them.

It depends on what car you drive and how much horsepower you have to start off with, But all those mods are not ones that give you CRAZY HP. In my opinion, It will give you atleast 15 HP, but won't go over 30

I've done this too. The gains are minimal, nothing like what the manufacturers claim. It'l just sound meaner. For the cost, it just isn't worth it.

usually you will gain about 5-7%

what car is it? it all depends on the car and how much horse it has now...you may see a 10% gain, but it really depends on what car you are modding
