I get defensive in most cases, and then feel pretty stupid afterward. We all do that sometimes though.

I would say that as I have gotten older, I definitely accept my mistakes and don't get defensive and rationalize my stupid actions.
I am always sorry if my stupidity hurts another, but otherwise, I have found stupid actions to be part of the human condition.
