Anti-Adware is used to keep Adware off your computer, for example programs that are downloaded that redirect you to other sites or try to hyjak your home page in your browser.

Anti-Spyware is used to remove and keep Spyware off your computer, for example a program that is downloaded that keeps track of the web sites you surf and then reports back to a home server that info.

antiadware is used to delete/prevent adware and antispyware is dedicated to fight spyware. but usually antispyware takes care of adware stuff as well. thought there is different between those two.

Spyware is any software designed to collect user personal information and send it out through a background Internet connection without the user's knowledge and consent. Spyware silently tracks user's web browsing habits, records visited web sites and logs taken actions. This activity allows spyware vendors to gather data for marketing and advertising purposes.
Spyware form and functionality may vary depending on vendor intentions. However, a particular program that uses an Internet connection to transfer data, which can be used to identify the user, is always classified as spyware.

Adware is any computer program that displays advertisements while the application is running. Advertisements appear in a web browser, pop-up windows, special toolbars or within the host program. Adware also can gather information about user’s habits and interests and send it out through a background Internet connection. Such behavior allows adware vendors to deliver targeted advertisements to the end user and collect general statistics.
Adware is divided into parasitical and legitimate applications. Illegal advertising programs are very similar to spyware parasites and often have some of their functions. They can be installed without explicit user consent and work all the time a computer is on. However, they are less dangerous, because most of such parasites are primarily intended to collect user’s personal information for marketing and advertising, but not for criminal purposes.

it's hard to say which program fights these parasites in the best way, so you can choose it yourself lol. here's a comparison table of top ten atispyware products: http://www.2-spyware.com/compare.php

To block foreign websites that track the things you do which then send data back and they get your email address and everything they would think you like and send a bunch of spam to you and popups etc..
