Just to give you a little background, I have a Master's in Political Science and if you view my past answers you will see that I'm pretty patriotic. In a question I asked awhile back an arrant apostrophe appeared when showing the plural and not the possessive. It was pointed out and I was told that meant I was unpatriotic. I just noticed the edited comment while referencing my past question for my most recent answer. I was just wondering if anyone else has received a more halarious insult on Y!A before. If so please share! Please see the link below and reference the third answer:

jpenergy: When did I state that patriotism is associated with conservatism? I am patriotic outside of my party. My patriotism is evident through my answers and not because of the party I belong to.

LMAO...I love Y!A!!

I actually think GuitarMan's answer was funny...he was being sarcastic, ya know. You would rather mock him, than listen to what he has to say. Ann Coulter, is that you?

Besides, you seem like the type of conservative who would question a liberal's patriotism every day...doesn't feel so good, now does it?!

If it didn't bother you, you wouldn't need the stroking of other Y!A users who share your views to say, "Whatever, you are the patriotic one, not him, haha!"

Puh-leaze.

I haven’t received any dumb answers, but I’ve certainly given a few.
Here’s my favorite:

Where does the other half of the moon go when it's half moon?

A Patriot: Best Answer - Chosen By Voters:

There is a moon processing facility in southern New Jersey that warehouses the invisible parts of the moon as it goes through its phases. They also do any necessary upkeep and maintenance like cleaning and form setting the craters and some preservation work on the Lunar Lander and such. When the moon is full it gives them a chance to sweep the factory floor and let some of the employees have vacation.

I really don't know. I've looked at your question and referenced answer, and I can understand your reaction. But I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've posted answers with typos that could have changed the meaning. Nobody has ever pointed that out before in my responses.

I would point out that there is no screening that prevents idiots from posting. I have seen some pretty stupid answers and questions. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. You seem like a pretty smart person with enough on the ball that you can easily get past this.

LMFAO!

Very cool that you have a Master's in PS! I work for a PS dept - I love my faculty. VERY good people - and they're happy to talk politics with me anytime. They even (gasp!) respect my opinion, and I'm pretty conservative.

I had a poor kid frothing at the mouth so bad one night, he started a thread that said, in the most appalling English I've *ever* seen, "the person I hate here with all my strength is arcitcchick!" I almost wet my pants, I was laughing so hard. I ended up feeling so sorry for the kid that I apologized. I have most of the conversation in an Word document...it was too priceless to lose!! ;o)

Wow, a masters, you must be so proud of yourself. thanks for sharing that insightful tidbit. I know I'll sleep much better knowing that a masters in poli sci knows what a neo-con is, and thinks no one else does.
Hey I read Leo Strauss, and PNAC and I've had lunch with Condi, and her staff at the Hoover. Are you impressed? Yea who gives a sh_t . Interesting that you associate patriotism with conservatism, and seem to insinuate that any non Conservative is not patriotic. Typical you missed something in class I think.

Patriotism is not a short outburst of emotion, but is the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.

Well, that is fantastic that you have a Master's Degree in Political Science. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. More importantly, I have lived in the areas that you "Conservatives" have forgotten about. The areas that should matter in the U.S. I have seen where Bush and his cohorts screw the middle and poorer classes out of money, jobs, and the ability to have a chance like everyone else. You say that it should be insulting to be called a Liberal. I say I'm not a Liberal. I'm a REALIST. What's real is Conservatives in power are destroying opportunities for the areas I've been in, and then turn around and blame the person.

You are referring to "By the way it's pretty easy to say that I make no sense without producing evidence. "

Yep, that's up there for most innane comment ever.

Along the lines with "Your opinion is absolutely wrong because [someone else] said so."

When you (for the whack jobs that "you" is meant in a general way and not meant for the person that posted the question) have to resort to being the spelling/grammar police, you have already lost the argument.
