help me quick! please...i've tried pouring water into it but it doesnt work!

Go to wal-mart and get a cheap plunger and try that. Be careful not to flush if the bowl is full of water. OR
You may find that if you poor water into the bowl from a pitcher the pressure will push down whatever is in there. Also if toilet paper is clogging your toilet it may "soften" in a little while and go down by itself.
If you have kids make sure they didn't put something down there.
The main thing is not to overflow the toilet bowl. The plunger will do wonders. Oh, and don't get those fancy plungers......they don't work as well as the regular cheap-one.

Once years ago I moved into a new apartment and even a little square of tp would overflow the toilet. I had it plunged 7 times, snaked 3 times, nothing worked. Finally they lifted the toilet up and found a tp roll holder stuck sideways. If a plunger and snake don't work, get ready to pick it up.

Depends on what's clogging it, and where the clog is.
If the toilet is clogged, you should be able to clear it with a plunger.
If the sewer line is clogged at a distance from the toilet, you'll need a plumber to snake the line.

Pouring water into it? What the hell? Never heard of that. Use a plunger or power plunger, it usually always works. But if not, Liquid Plummer.

Pour some bleach into it and wait for 30 minutes. Then use the plunger.

there is this amazing invention called the plunger that unclogs your toilet when you stick it in the toilet bowl.
it actually works too. its quite a fine peice of technology.
