To allow for skirts. Until about the 1900's it was illegal in Western society for women to wear pants. The V shape allowed for them to ride bikes while wearing skirts without risking exposure.
Still, I can't imagine riding a bike with a full skirt to be easy or comfortable. Not to mention the corsets.

Women used to always wear dresses. On the v-shaped cycle, they can modestly pass their leg through to the other side and mount the bike to ride it and their dress would not be immodestly raised by the upper crossbar (on the boy's bike) as she rode.

Back when women wore long skirts, the bar that went from the seat post to the handle-bar post got in the way; therefore, the bar was removed to accomodate ladies' skirts.

i do no longer think of so. even inspite of the indisputable fact that your questions look fairly humorous there looks a fact in the back of it. whilst looking the classified ads they're showing whilst in comparison with the older ones, -women have a number of of ability over adult males. yet i think of they're some advertising and marketing tricks and not something to do with feminists. i think of so. BTW, it is my final answer on your questions of this format.

If you mean bicycles, it was because the women wore dresses and skirts when the style of bicycle came into existance.

All bycicles look the same now, for some years. They are all like men's now. There are some differences for a woman specific model though.... like the seat.... check this at: www.trekbikes.com
