yup, most rich teenaged Americans are pretty rude, aren't they? And among the worst educated teens on the planet, perhaps only less ignorant than muslim kids raised in madrasses and kids who never actually went to school at all.

hahaha. I am American, and those are the really rich people. Like the kind that own 4 houses in Beverly Hills. There is also a show here called the real houswives of Orange County, or something like that. they seem to have all these nice things, but there is something very empty about them. I guess something really meaningful missing. I wouldn't give my 16 year old teenager a brand new 2007 bmw. I think that's the dumbest gift you could give to them, they don't learn anything. those kids are beyond spoiled rotten. my parents spanked and disiplined me when I was growing up and I turned out just fine.

I'm from Southeast Asia. My family and friends like America. Of course there's always some people who hate America and Americans, but lots of people loves "the Land of the Free" and give anything to come to America. If anyone watches one MTV show and deduces that all Americas are like that, I don't think his opions matter that much.
Not all the Sweet 16 girls are "disgusting". You didn't see the 3 girls that raised $20,000 for charity from their birthday party.

The kids on that show are pretty horrid. I think they're the exception to the norm though - otherwise the shock factor wouldn't work and no-one would watch it. Besides, what nation would truly showcase it's youth if it's youth were a true indication of the show?

I agree, it is a disgusting show and nobody should live like the people on it do. But you have to understand that that's not how all Americans bring up their kids.

They shouldn't judge an entire country by one tv show. That's called generalizing, and is pretty much always wrong. I've never seen the show, but I'm sure other countries have teens acting stupid as well.

Please do not judge America by what you see on MTV! MTV is not what everyday America is like! Americans are generally good, loving and caring people who have wonderful families with high morals. Do not judge Americans by what you see on TV.

If "the rest of the world" hates American's, then why do we have so many people trying to get in our country?

no, its not a surprise....
try going to Europe, Asia, anywhwere big other than America and you will be treated with disgust, unless you're a tourist constantly handing out cash, in which case they just treat you with a little less hostility.
