I could tell you that oatmeal for some reason helps to produce more milk. If you go to breastfeeding.com you find tons of awesome informations. There is also a forum you could sign up to and ask the ladies there. They have tons of experience. Thats where I went when I first had my baby a year ago. They help me ALOT. Hope this helps...

I agree. You can eat anything you want and it wont HURT the baby. Just if you eat a lot of spicy foods or things that give you gas it will give baby gas too. It will just make baby fussy and pass gas a lot. Broccoli plays a big part in that too lol. But also doctors say depending on the food you eat it changes the taste of the milk. And some babys like the variety of tastes.

Best is to eat a healthy diet, just like when you were pregnant. You can also add a glass of wine now and then if you want to. The best way to make milk is to drink plenty of water and nurse your baby often, as milk is produced to meet demand. Your baby may object to strongly flavored milk, so avoid lots of garlic, curry, or other strong spices. Limit the caffeine intake as well.

I stayed away from foods that cause gas. I cant remember but I think i was told to stay away from peanuts and peanut butter. Your lact nurse will help you to. Good luck! Congrats on the baby!

Your pediatrician should give you a good list. Just be careful of foods that would give you gas because they will give your baby gas too.

Pump/feed more = more milk

Your body will compensate for what you need.
