hmmm considering they made a whole book about him being a traitor and how evil he is, I'm going with foe

Ahhh...the same question I ask everyone! LOL I have always maintained that he was grouchy and a bit resentful, but appearances aside was on the "good" side.

After the last book...now, I doubt myself.

I still think there's something more to him being just an evil guy though. If that's the case, I'm disappointed in J.K. because that's just too easy. I think there's going to be SOME explanation about his actions in the final book though.

Professor Snape is a FRIEND...Dumbledore trusted him until the very end and that's good enough for me!

I think he is a friend... an extremely good spy who will somehow help Harry defeat Voldemort... (well thats what I'm hoping anyway!)
