cold air intake or some sort of new intake should add 8-15 HP to your car. and its also relatively cheap.

exhaust, a catback exhaust would lower the backpressure and give you reasonable hp gain maybe 5, not really sure

high flow catalytic converter, one of these will reduce the backpressure even more and give you even more hp.

headers, or a exhaust manifold(same thing, headers usually means performance manifold) anyways these should ad about 10-15 hp, and cost about 250-450 depending on brand

cam gears- 130 each gear depending if you have a sohc or a dohc, these are pricey, and a whole lot of headache to put in, id stay away from this unless youre serious about fixing up your car, gain of about 9 hp, without the adjustments

For a KIA, it will be a waste of money to modify the car.

A simple solution is to cut your A/C belt to gain 10hp.
If you don't want power steering, you can cut its belt to gain another 10hp. Remove back seats to decrease weight on your car.

going down hill works the best otherwise invest in a lot of hardware and high octane fuel but the end result will be a shorter life for you car. it just wasn't designed for what you want.

cold air intake,headers,bigger injectors,fuel rail,exhaust, iridium plugs,turbo kit,nitros,reprogram the ecm ect... just depends on how much you are willing to spend
