He was and still is a very moral and good man. However, conservatives will just change the subject and object to him on some other ground because a lot of them see themselves as attack dogs. It's sad, really.
I admire what he has done after leaving the presidency. A lot of ex-presidents, like Reagan and Bush One, just hang out and play golf and ride horses and such, but Carter and Roslynn have dedicated themselves to so many good causes. They raised good kids who give back as well (unlike certain twins we could name but won't).

Thomas Jefferson believed in public education, replaced into incredibly plenty an atheist, and supported cutting-side taxation on estates. George Washington stated he was hoping to confirm united statesa. grow to be greater liberal as time went on. And JFK replaced right into a liberal Democrat from Massachusetts recommended by way of the ny Liberal occasion. He replaced into the 1st to recommend Medicare. George Bush replaced right into a conservative and Jimmy Carter replaced into the conservative Democrat candidate. The liberal Democrat working replaced into Ted Kennedy. Theodore Roosevelt, yet another large president, replaced right into a entire left-wing cutting-side Republican.

Carter was a very moral President who DID put dignity into the White House. Many people blame him for high interest rates during his Presidency. If we did that to Bush, they would call it Bush Bashing.
Carter was not only moral during his Presidency but continues to be that way and has done some amazing things since he left the Office.

Some of the most rotten and hypocritical people I have ever had the displeasure of knowing were quite "religious".
The phrase, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" was never more apropos than with Carter. If he had been elected for one more term, the Soviet Union would likely have consolidated its power, grown even more rapidly, and be the dominant entity on the planet.
Was Carter really so moral? I remember at the presidential debates how Reagan had to chastise Carter for his frequent lies and twisting of the truth, with his now famous line, "There you go again!"
It's nice that Carter works on Habitat For Humanity, but it is his policies that made so many people poor in the first place.

I don't know if he was the most moral president but he was a moralistic president. Its argued that he was a bad president but I think anyone who says he was immoral does not what they are talking about... He honored treaties, brokered a succesful treaty between Egypt and Israel and there was no question of his honesty... He may have been a bad president (I don't believe he was that bad, but a lot of historians say he was) but he had more integrity than most of the men that held the office.

It has often been said that emotions are alarms, awakening us to matters that require attention. Perhaps, dissatisfaction, unease, anxiety, undue stress, unfulfillment and depression are trying to tell us something. Could it be, that these states are a consequence of external noises influencing the internal noises to such an extent, that so many alarms are collectively going off in so many people, that we are beginning to notice?
I believe that President Jimmy Carter was trying to tell us that in the late 1970's when he made reference to the "malaise" we were feeling. Perhaps, he heard the alarm.
In 1982, he and his wife Rosalynn founded the Carter Center. They envisioned the Center,
...as a place where people could come together to resolve their differences and solve problems...The Carter Center identifies creative ways to address problems that impact the most vulnerable people – those who have access to the fewest resources.
It would appear that the Carter's have found a way to respond to the alarm. I would imagine that the noises inside their head differ dramatically from that found within many of us.

President Carter is like a fine wine-he gets better with age. Yes his moral compass was and is a true guide to all of his actions. And time will show that his actions and leadership greatly benefited America and the world.

Conservatives b****, b****, b**** ! Jimmy Carter certainly was and is a very, VERY moral AND honest man. No 'flash' though. Conservative or not - who was gonna beat the 'gipper'?(used to be a Democrat). Guess he changed just to get elected(in Califonia). I will say however - rest his soul - rip Ronny. Good man deep down - so there, a confirmed liberal liked the guy. Lotsa schutzpah - 'winged it' pretty good and got lucky with Gorbachev - good for him! Oh, gotta get one thing straight, Iran-Contra(bad boy - yep, bad, bad), but Geo. W. Bush - oy, there I go again!!

Just look at his actions and in some cases his inaction.
He gave away the panama canal, He allowed the Shaw of Iran to fall leaving Iran ripe for what exists there today. He was so out of tune with anything military that he cut its funding and was surprised and embarrassed when it didn't work when he needed it.
Since he's been out of office he has spent his time praising any America-hating dictator who'll have him. He has made statements leaving no doubt that he is an anti-Semite.
Just because most republicans care about morality doesn't mean its the only thing they must consider.

Jimmy Carter is in fact a very moral man, and deeply religious. Conservatives don't attack Carter on his moral fiber, which is beyond reproach. Rather, they attack him for his liberal-leaning views, which are anathema to conservatives.
