If the back sleeping isn't working, get the support device that allows her to sleep on her side. My pediatrician ok'd this when my kids were babies.

I have three children, My first slept on her back, and creamed all the time. we had such a hard time with her falling asleep that way, and staying asleep.. she is now 3 and has just started sleeping properly. I didnt want to go through this again so my last two children were tummy sleepers, and they are so so much better.. They slept through the night at 6 weeks and sleep beautifully during the day. Most people will tell you otherwise, but I wouldnt go any other way

Putting her on her back to sleep at night is perfectly fine...I don't know what doctor's are saying these days, but when my kids were little (they are 13 and 19 now), we weren't supposed to put 'em on their tummy...or was that a few years later they said that???? What I am trying to say, there will always be someone who tells you different. Go with your instinct (I remember my doc telling me, I was feeding my son too much and he was going to be fat; yes, he had TWICE as many bottles as recommended, but guess what, he was hungry and the busiest little baby I had ever seen, my gut told me, he needed it, he was never ever overweight!). As a new mom, you are always worried about doing something wrong, and naturally, many times you'd rather believe the docs than other women (since they are supposed to know everything)...just think though, the moms are actually the specialists...and every baby is different. Listen to everyone, take a bit of each that sounds sensible and through in your own gut feeling!!! You'll be fine!!!

It is best to put them on their backs ask any doc.. you are not supposed to put them on their tummies... I think you have it backwards. I let my son nap on his tummy for a while but I didn't let him at night..... he had a rough time of it too, so what I did is put a rolled up blanket against the side of the bassinet and laid him down with hs back against it, so that he could sleep on his side and back... it worked great, and eventually he got so used to it that I was able to move the blanket and let him sleep completely on his back without any problems... But if she sleeps good on her back then let her be.. that is how she is supposed to sleep.. The reason they say not on their tummies, is because of SIDS... Baby can dies from sids, because when they are asleep on their tummies, they are so comfortable that when they can;t breathe, they don't wake themselves up and they then suffocate.. There are other reasons for it, but that is one of the main ones.... Good Luck!!

Back sleeping is really the safest thing for your baby, tummy sleeping is one of the biggest causes of SIDS try swaddleing your baby tightly befor laying her down my 3 month old has a bassinet that swings back and forth she sleeps swaddled in that.

You questions is kind of confusing and I'm not sure what you are asking but :
Doctors recommend babies be put to sleep on their back as a prevention against SIDS.
This recommendation came out after my kids were older so mine always slept on their tummy.
I would follow doctors recommendation and have baby sleep on back.
Soon the baby will be able to turn over so it doesn't matter then.

i am a mother of 2 girls 3 and 4mnths i put both of them to sleep on their backs then they were first born cause that is the only way they would sleep. so i went out and bought a roll thing it stops them from rolling over in their sleep and i asked my mid wife and she that is ok as long as you check on them while their sleeping hope that is helpful for you.

You should always put her to sleep on her back. Tummy down is a big contributer of SIDS.

Hello, you are supposed to put them on their backs now.
The thinking has changed and they do not recommend putting them on their tummies any longer.
