No, he did a good job guiding John Roberts through the Senate confirmation process, but so what?
The fields are flooded on both sides from egomaniacs in the Senate!
I'm sticking with Duncan Hunter, ....here's an idea Fred Thompson can run with Tommy Thompson..........lol

Absolutely. Fred Tompson would be the only true conservative who would have a shadow of a chance of taking the white house. Giuliani is a Republican, but far from a conservative. If Barak Obama were to win the Democratic nomination, Fred Tompson would be the man to bring him down. If Ms. Bill Clinton were to win the nomination, Rudolph Giuliani would be the best bet for victory.

The Christian-right likes Thompson because the leading Republican candidates lack morals. Unfortunately for him, he has very little name recognition.
I say no. He has a good life as an actor.

Yes. He believes a lot like Giuliani, except for the gun control, and he is a lot like McCain when it comes to defense and foreign affairs. He is also more like a Goldwater Republican, than a Reagan 'trickle down supply side economics' (which was really not trickle down, but get trickled on voodoo economics).

Thompson has a lot to offer an otherwise bland field of republican candidates. He has that plain spoken demeanor and more often than not says the right things.

Would probably be the best President since Reagan. For those who don't get it, educate yourself on history.

Just what we needd, another actor.
He has said he will release Scooter Libby too.
Just what we need, a law and order candidate who lets guilty people out of jail.
C'mon Republicans, wake up.
