There are seperate tryouts for JV, Freshman, and Varsity. Although schools usually hold about 3 days of tryouts to evaluate the players and make smart decision...Hope you do well next year.

I believe each school is different on how they do their tryouts. From what I remember from my high school tryout days, we had seperate tryouts for each (Freshman, JV, and Varsity). If you are a freshman, then you try-out for freshman only. If you end up doing really well and the coach really sees potential, he will talk to the other coaches to let them know about you. The other coaches are going to want to see you play, but if you impress them, they will likely call you up the higher level.

it all depends on the school...when i was in h.s. they held it for 4 days everyone tried out with each other and based on what the coaches thought..they seperated the players to where they thought fit! I made jv as a freshman so anything can happen..hope u do well!

In new mexico it's kinda weird.... They have the freshman all together, and if you excell in the freshman group they'll throw you in with the Sophs/juniors on the JV, and before school ever starts they pretty much have the team they want for Varsity already....

Just about every district is different. Usually, separate tryouts are held for each level.
