what goes on in the minds of Lurie, Banner, and Reid when it comes to player contract negotiations?

I know that their methods are meant to keep a consistently winning team going forever but I scratch my head sometimes when they let players walk.

Hey, I'm glad that the guy who wore #81 left for Big D, but why let Garcia and Stallworth go so easily?

I know they always bounce back, and I am grateful for their success thus far, but I want a championship too.

What are your thoughts? Analysis? Predictions?

im a huge philly fan and i wonder why does mcnabb get a target for 1 year and resign backups rather than stalworth i dont mind about garcia leaving but philadelphia needs to do something in free agency. i think stalworth didnt want to stay but i am praying they get kevin curtis then draft a safety like reggie nelson or laron landry or maybe robert meachem if they dont get kevin curtis but since i am a philly fan i have them winning the super bowl

I know what you mean about TO. I wouldn't even want that guy in my division, much less on my team. When it comes to Garcia and Stallworth, they didn't make a wise decision at any level. Stallworth was clearly one of McNabb favorite targets and could make any play. Garcia was the back up any team would want. He proved that when McNabb got hurt. Philly should have held on to them. Now, they are going to be a much less competative team if they don't pick up a good offensive air threat.

First, of all, Philly doesn't have enough money to invest in an injury prone WR. Also, McNabb has shown that he likes to spread the ball, and he doesn't need a number 1 WR. It also didn't help the WR Hank Baskett emerged as a legit WR. He can spread the field with his speed and I think Philly thinks that he can fill the role of the speed WR.

That being said, McNabb will get hurt. They are going to regret letting Garcia go and miss the playoffs.

I think they let Garcia go so they wouldn't have any concern about who the starter is. I think that was a bad move though. Garcia is already old. As to Stallworth I think they figure they already pay McNabb to get hurt, why pay a WR to get hurt as well? Just my guess.

Eagles fans are loud mouth jerks. I know there's some who are ok but they're being drowned out by the obnoxious ones. Anyway, I think they are going downhill. They had a nice run, but were too cheap to bring in the necessary free agents when they needed them. I predict 9-7 and 1st round playoff exit.

Letting both could be a big mistake. If McNabb stays healthy and a receiver steps up then no big deal.

i do no longer think of any time quickly. they had easily the final group in the nfl all around some years returned whilst LT become the league mvp and rivers become lights it up and the protection become great or maybe then they could no longer do it so i can not think of with an unimpressive run sport and lackluster protection that they are able to get to the huge sport.

Eagles SUCK and McNabb is done, finished and no longer feared.
