I have to do an internship class at my college during the summer, but if I am not able to go to campus during summer then I have to do the class online, but I have to stay with my grandma and she does not have a computer or the internet, and my family was living in a house, but there was a fire in the house in 2001 and I had checked some books out from the library and they were lost in the fire, so now the library says I still have to pay for those books or I can't check out any more or use the computers, and I can't afford to pay. So how can I access the internet to do the class online? Also, they will probably charge me for the class if I take it during summer, and I can't get financial aid for the summer, so I will be unable to pay. I also do not have an internship yet and I NEED something!!! I am running out of time and I am really scared. I am in Maryland and I guess I just need an internship that involves writing in some way...

My major is print journalism and I am writing for the newspaper now, but I really do not like doing that, so I do not want to do that as an internship. But I just need something that involves writng, and if I talk to my professor he is only going to suggest things that have to do with writing for a newspaper because that is what we are doing in class. But when I get out of college i do not want to write for newspapers because I can't stand it. I will probably just do something else. But how can I get an internship that in some way relates to print media in Maryland by the summer? Can anyone suggest some places in PG county or points south? And how can I access the internet to do the class online? And what if I have to pay to take it during the summer?

Regarding the internship, you might try an ad agency to see if they need any copywriters or search for internships on one of the career boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.).

Can't help you with the financial/internet drama but try http://www.finaid.org/scholarships/.

Cheers.
