is a profusely hackneyed word, spewed forth by the wack infowars types, and most of them probably have no clue as to what a Neocon is?
And do you think they are even interested in knowing the difference?

Good points, National yes your question is similar to what im saying, but I even contend that many conservative'ish people do not know what it is either.... as evidenced by what shrink said right above you.

I just asked this as I see it ( Neo-con) used so much and often with lack of relevance that I would see what people thought.
I myself am conservative ( very much fiscally somewhat moderately socially ) but I do not associate myself with Neo Conservatism.
I think many associate it with globalists.

Chi we have went over this before and I disagree that Reagan was a Neocon.
I will go along with Bush the Sr fitting into that group but I do not count Reagan as one.

I agree most people who use the word Neocon have no idea as to its meaning. Nor do they really care. It is a word that has become overused and almost meaningless; and it seems the people who use the word the most are the ones who know the least about it.

I posted this same question 2 weeks ago. Check out the responses;

Most respondents felt that it meant neo-nazi. Of course this is false. Someone else went off on an anti-Semitic rant. Whatever! Yet NO Liberal knew what the term even meant.

I am conservative Republican. I am not a "neocon" and do not find this word even remotely offensive. I think it's funny. They sound like they are in hysterics every time they use it.

I guess I particularly offended Watcher with my question. LOL. He even came back to post an additional comment which by the way, still DID NOT include the meaning of neocon!

EDIT: The best response was from Guitarman. He criticized me for one errant apostrophe and said it meant I was unpatriotic. LMAO!!!

From the analyzing of solutions right here a nd a splash study, seems greater like the NeoCon flow (which in accordance to my analyzing coalesced interior the Seventies not for the period of JFK) has morphed into what this is now. It has constantly been approximately using US ability for international good - yet with any form of utilization of ability has became into something completely corrupt that contravenes its unique rationale. i don't decide for fancy call calling besides, so i'm positive if we comply with renounce using the term so you might provide up arguing over who's using the appropriate political terminology and come back to who has the appropriate political rules.

I'm not sure what the difference is. Is it a neolib? I've been a conservative for years, and if a neocon is a new conservative that leaves me out. The word is stale, seemingly used recklessy to denote any thing in which liberals do not believe. I used to call them Democrats. Obviously passe. Global warming? A concern to us all. Homosexialality? A concern to us all. They affect the health and future of mankind.
To think that world leaders in the Western hemisphere are all big business and money minded at the expense of the planet is small minded. The Democrats used to be thought of as the party of the people. The Republicans were thought of as the party for big business. Without business, who employs the people? Who pays them for their hours to buy products that
allows them to ante up their contribution to global warming?
If a cow farts in Montana, it's because somebody wants to eat meat, or have a leather coat, or wear a belt. Me? I like all three. (The farting is considered number four.)
I think the people that make the line of difference as hard as some do, are people that are going to remain ignorant no matter what, and choose the candidate over reality. But that's how we resolve it, we vote. Pardon me for my diatribe, thanks for the chance to express.

I've had many arguements about this before..

n. An intellectual and political movement in favor of political, economic, and social conservatism that arose in opposition to the perceived liberalism of the 1960s

its because liberals dont research before they accuse..

they accuse, back it up with personal opinions that mean squat, get told the truth, and then call the accuse the teller of being a conservative.

I use the term quite often and have grown weary from posting the Encarta encyclopedia definition of the term.

Ronald Amnesty Reagan was the first neo-con to rise to the presidency. Proof of this is his Amnesty to 3 million illegals, his huge government, huge deficit, and his selling out of America by staging the field for corporations to move over seas.

Neo-con does not apply to true conservatives as they are anything but. Unfortunately, true conservatives have been pushed aside by the neo-cons with some now following their lead.

The neo-con propaganda blitz anointed this Iran Contra crook to sainthood. Neo-cons began their assault on the repub party in the 70s and have owned it ever since. Evidence shown by the current group of repub front runners with the morality of a goat.

I haven't a clue as to the definition or usage of "Neocon," as I've never heard of it...sounds like another term for BU--SH-- and I already know the difference.

they have no clue what it means. they just throw it around hoping that it will raise some voices and turn some heads. it's like an insult or something. i have a shirt that says one thing: "neocon". i'm just joining in to their little games. a neocon is not bad. they think it's a horrible insult, when in reality...it's just a democrat that had an epiphany and left the dark side.

Don't try and explain it to the libs. You will probably warp their fragile brains, and the only response you will receive is being called a Nazi or racist. I've found it best to just call them out on the issues and ignore the labels which are placed on each side.

Neo= pro
Proconservative. It's a coo coo bird way to say a simple term. Maybe whoever uses it is trying to impress but they don't really know language that much.
