OK... I'm guessing you mean that he cannot read right side up... ONLY upside down. Right?

Have him tested for dyslexia. There are many different forms... and he would need a tutor who specializes in teaching dyslexics. It is a learning disorder that usually accompanies a High IQ and makes the brain reverse what is seen.

If not dyslexia - then there may be a problem with his eyes - or even optic nerve. Have him examined by a Optometrist. I would have to guess this would not be it - since he doesn't see the world upside down.

Contact your local school system and ask where dyslexia testing takes place in your area.

Good luck, hon! Peace.

If there is a question in there somewhere - I missed it.
Okay - maybe it's 'how to help him'...If so, I suggest you suggest he see a therapist specializing in dyslexia.

oh..........he's 18?
well, it's a talent then.
if he really can't read right side up or just has difficulty right side up....either way

i'd have his vision checked.
does it bother him? talk to the doctor about it.
