God, that's hard because I think it's one of the greatest shows ever on TV.

Pembleton is probably my favorite with Munch very closely behind. Those two are iconic characters -- Pembleton's morality and Munch's sarcasm. That sad, I love Gee and Bayliss was probably the most complex of them all.

Over time, Kellerman grew on me and so did Meldrick....but they still don't come close to Munch, Pembleton and Bayliss.

A truly amazing tv show.

Awesome show truly raised the bar for what TV should be about good smart drama not that warmed over junk.

Okay if I had to pick just one Det. Frank Pembleton (Andre Braugher) I was sure glad they made Homicide-movie just so he could get some more air time. Det. John Munch was classic truly one of the great TV detectives.

the right thanks to study that's by ability of talking to a cop, or a retired cop. In homicide there are "operating hours" 8 hour shifts a useless ringer for maximum different jobs, yet there are sensible "operating hours. A cop may nicely be "operating" the day shift, yet should be on call or out searching suspects at the hours of darkness. So there is not any shift truly. Even cops have a social existence, a lot are married with little ones, they bypass to ball video games, fishing, vacation trips a useless ringer for real human beings. maximum novels about cops take care of one major plot crime at a time, in spite of the undeniable fact that it may nicely be a serial killer with more beneficial than one homicide. and also you want to set your tale the position you're maximum universal. in case you stay in Southern California, that could nicely be your putting, you know the sorts of human beings, the elements, the places, you want to make certain about guns, information series, criminal interrogation procedures and straightforward regulation options. sturdy success

Munch (Richard Belzer) is the greatest!!! I still watch him on Law & Order SVU--he's great! He used to be a comedian--and was even on SNL back in the day.
