Most all oil injection systems have some provision to monitor/verify oil flow output from the pump.

On old oil injections,,,the procedure was to loosen the oil tube fitting at the engine while the engine was running.
Beleive it or not,,,lol

A few moments of "no oil" And the air leak resulting from loosening the fitting was not as disastrous as it sounds.

Check for exact procedure for your particular bike in Service Manual.

............................
Of course,,on Pre-Mix engines,,,,,if it's Running ,it's getting Oil

2 Strokes will run longer than one might imagine on No Oil,,,
IF the engine is run moderately.
If run Hard,,,they wont run very long at all.

If your engine runs more than a few minutes, you can be fairly certain it IS Getting oil to some degree.

Hope that helps

Look at your spark plug, it should be a dark tan (on a 2 stroke) If your plug is white or very light you've got a problem.
Another way is that a 2 stroke will seize pretty quick on plain gasoline.

OBVIOUSLY IF IT'S A PRE MIX
IT'S GETTING OIL
BECAUSE YOUR ADDING IT TO YOUR FUEL IN THE GAS.
HERE'S THE SAFEST WAY TO KNOW IF YOUR OIL PUMP IS WORKING, ON INJECTOR MODELS
PRE MIX A TANK OF FUEL AT A 40 /1 RATIO
BURN IT ALL OFF BY RUNNING YOUR BIKE AS USUAL
NOTE THE AMOUNT OF OIL IN YOUR OIL RESERVOIR PRIOR TO BURNING OFF THE TANKS FUEL AND CHECK IT'S LEVEL AFTER YOU'VE BURNED THE TANK OF GAS
IF YOUR LEVELS GONE DOWN ON YOUR RESERVOIR
YOUR PUMPS OBVIOUSLY SUPPLYING OIL AS WELL TO THE ENGINE
THERE WILL BE AN INCREASE IN THE LEVEL OF EXHAUST SMOKE WHILE YOUR RIDING AND YOU MAY EVEN FOUL A PLUG.
BUT IT'S WAY CHEAPER THAN A TOP END OR WORSE
HOPE THIS HELPS

the old Yamaha RD bikes used a tank of oil every 3 or 4 fills of gas.... from memory....it was awhile ago...

if its pre mix then if its got gas its got oil...

if you know where the oil pump is ..take the cover of & make sure the cable is not broken..( if the cable is opening the oil pump venturie then its most likely getting oil...)
