. The patriot act is a good example. the government can tap your phone , make records of what you do on your computer get your records from the library of the books you check out the patriot act gives the
government the right to get your mail and read it before it's delivered if they suspect you of activity they deem suspicious The act gives the CIA and FBI the right to spy on you and not have to get warrants to do so. That is against your right to privacy because they had to get a judge to OK taping your phone bugging your car secretly taking video of you in your own house. These are fundamental rights that you have under the constitution and bill of rights. all in the name of fighting terrorism

Wire tapping telephone lines is a policy of the government to take away the right to privacy of a person. This is a violation of the constitution because it is an intrusion into privacy.

Gun Control Legislation, like most of the Bill of Rights, is based on a premis "The Congress shall make NO LAW effecting". When we allow the Congress, or any government to regulate and pass laws effecting a freedom it cheapens all of our inalienable rights. If they want to regulate guns amend the constitution or shut up.
