did anyone else notice that Jolie didnt really become popular until after this whole controversy with Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston? Cuz i didnt know about her at all until this happened. If this is what she has to do in order to be famous than she is just plain sad. (her acting must not be vary good)Give me your thoughts.

Well her acting was good enough to earn her an Oscar before she ever met Brad (an honor that he has never received by the way). Even before the controversial relationship the general public was absolutely fascinated by Angelina - her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton, her tattoos and "wild child" ways, her humanitarian efforts, her adoption of Maddox, her exotic beauty, her fractured relationship with her father were all media fodder back then. She has been an A-list celebrity for many, many years. I'm shocked that you hadn't heard of her before that. Have you been living under a rock?

Angelina Jolie has been a popular A-list star for many years. She is a huge humanitarian that has done many good things for the world.
I wish people would just lay off her. Jennifer Aniston couldn't make her husband happy, so he left. GET OVER IT, people!
Besides, we do not know the whole truth, just what the media tells us.

She was very popular in her own right but Brad Pitt is (was?) a big big star and his marriage to Jennifer Anniston combined to make them in the spotlight ALL THE TIME. Combine Brad with Angelina and that just sparked more interest in her, at least by the media, which is pretty much who controls what the public sees.

I really wish people would get off her back, if Jenny would have kept Brad happy he wouldn`t have looked at what else the world had to offer.Please take a good look at both women and realize by far Angelina is a far better person and far better actress. Miss Jenny didn`t want to have Brad`s children for it would interfere with her career she forgot her career was "Friends" and being Mrs.Brad Pitt.Everyone feels so sorry for her and thinks she`s so pretty when are people going take a good look at her and realize she looks like Dustin Hoffman in a long stringy wig,she could pass for his son if she cut her hair short!!Am I the only one that see the likeness!! She can`t act, and she needs to get over it all with screwing up and losing her hubby. Angelina not only can she act she`s generous with children in third world countries she is a child advocate. She is a career woman and a terrific mother and a very beautiful woman who can stand on her own with her own career talent and name. She can survive independantly or with a husband.She is her own person and does not need to feed off other`s famous names for her identity.She has done extrodinary work in other countries before Brad for children and if they ever do decide to part I`m sure she will carry on with what she believes in quietly as she has done before.I can`t see her being refered to as Mrs.Brad Pitt just to make a mark in life , and gain status like dear Jenny did. So yes she was someone before all this controversy it`s just unlike Jenny she doesn`t need the fan fare in life to accomplish her goals quietly and on her own.
