The Green Valley Ranch is a five star resort. It is a very nice place. It is where Michael Jackson stays when he's in town, but don't let that discourage you =) It also has it's own shopping mall, several restaurants and a movie theatre. It's casino is huge.

probably not worth the 15 minute (or so) drive from the strip. It's right off 215 (Green Valley Rd exit), and might be worth stopping by on the way to or from Lake Meade. There's a Whole Foods across Green Valley Rd from the complex, and it's a Whole Foods sort of neighborhood. There's also an Original Pancake House, a 24-hr coffee shop, and a small food court in the casino. The casino itself is clean and uncrowded... almost empty the times we walked through (weekdays). High ceilings and un-smokey, but a little on the dark side (some natural light, please!) and really just a suprisingly generic feel for a casino in a very un-generic hotel and resort complex.
