Don't give up. Congratulations, it does get better. Keep up with the deep breathing & trying to cough. Your lungs are coming back to life & they have to clear out all that tar & nicotine that has built up in your lungs over the years. If you start to run fevers or get SOB, see a doctor. Sometimes people get pneumonia after quiting smoking. Remain calm & breathe your way though the anxiety. You will be thankful that you did this one day soon.

Just tell yourself "I've done it for 7 days, I can do it for 8" Then tomorrow, "I've done it for 8 days, I can do it for 9!!" When you get to 30 days you can stop counting. You are almost a third of the way through....what a waste of effort if you didn't keep going. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. A very brave decision. The money may keep piling up but the health benefits do too. Drink lots of pure, clean water and eat fresh juicy fruit and vegetables. Go easy on red meat. Welcome to the world.

good for you to quit smoking.
my support for you to keep away from the cigarettes.

what you feel so far is called the impact of being addicted.
you have to survive this feeling. unless you want to be a looser.

don't get lost by a cigarette.

the father in-law of my sister, doesn't suffer any disease, but he finally get heart attacked because of smoking.

You didn't loose your best friend, you kicked your constant, most reliable companion to the curb because you saw the relationship was dis functional. Did you try the decongestant syrup?

Take very deep breaths OFTEN. Keep it up, it's so worth it. One more week and you should be feeling tons better. I think you are experiencing anxiety.
