okay it's more then one reason. they have the same dumb smile, the fourth looks like an older naruto without the kyubi lines on his face. he created the rasengan, which naruto completes. ( kind of, father son thing ) and last, they refer to naruto as the fourths legacy, as someone pointed out to me, a legacy is a family chain , which is generally a father wanting his son to carry on what he started.

That's true about the famliy legacy. Looks like Naruto inherits his father really well mastering Rasengan.

another reason: when Jiraiya tossed Naruto of the cliff during training for the Chunin exams he apologised to the 4th for what he did. only one reason why he would do that... so I definitely think the 4th's his father.
