Hmmm .. .tough one for me. The very first one I saw was Les Miserables. That is an awesome one. Lots of musical numbers that are memorable, great plot line, great scenery, etc. The other one that's my favorite is Phantom of the Opera, because that's the first date that I went on with my husband. The scene where the phantom is rowing the boat over the stage which looks like misty water is a great scene.

I'm going to be completely cliche and say Phantom of the Opera (I've seen it three times in three different cities) and Les Miserables. I'm also a big fan of Wicked, but I don't really consider that a masterpiece like I do the other two :-)
