The pregnancy test reads positive, plus I have swollen breasts, sore nipples, morning sickness, burping and have a cold.... but my period came today. It's not the spotting I've read about. It is more than that, but less than my normal heavy periods. Please tell me if this is at all possible to have your period?

Sometimes women have some bleeding at the beginning of their pregnancies that is normal and does not indicate a problem. It is also possible to have a very early miscarriage, otherwise known as a "chemical pregnancy." Most women would just think their period was a little late. You can test positive on a pregnancy test for a while after a miscarriage while the HCG clears from your system. I would check with your doctor or midwife just to confirm that all is well. I hope it is!

It's possible, but you'll want to head in to see your health care provider to check to make sure everything is alright. Good luck!

Yes, women can get their periods and still be pregnant. Please, go see a doctor to confirm your pregnancy and explain what's going on.
