Abortion is a legal choice in this country. Everyone has their own opinion on it; only you know how you feel about this very personal issue.
However you are the only person who can make this choice. I'm not trying to encourage you one way or another, but ask yourself some very serious questions.
Can you deal with the emotional consequences of having an abortion? (This is especially true if you end up getting back together with the father.)
Are you ready to give this baby away if you do continue the pregnancy? Many young women think that they can, and then cannot go through with it.
If that ends up being the case, will you be financially able to support this child if you decide to keep it? Emotionally prepared to change your life?
This isn't a game, Hon. You need to do some serious soul-searching and make a very serious decision.

DON'T get an abortion. Give Me Liberty is an evil, horrible blowhard. And the other people telling you this are seriously mislead.

Here's what happens during an abortion:
The doc puts a vacuum tube into the placenta and sucks the baby out. Little by little. Decapitating him/her, ripping already formed limbs. Pulverizing its already beating heart.

OR:
The doc injects salt solution into the placenta, burning the baby to death.

In either case, the baby squirms, wriggles, cries in pain, tries to escape. What a horrible thing to do to a LIVING PERSON.

This baby you are carrying might be the cure for AIDS or Cancer. He/she might compose the next great art/symphonic/dramatic work. He/she might win the Nobel Peace Prize and bring peace to the Middle East. IF YOU ALLOW BABY TO BE BORN.

There are many families who would LOVE to give your child a home, a family and a chance. Adopt. Don't abort. Adopt.

I worked in the health care field before I became a stay at home mom. I would recommend to you that you seriously consider your options before rushing into an abortion. It is a surgical procedure and there were a few times I was called to pick up a young girl who was having complications after an abortion (I worked on an ambulance)

Talk to your Doctor, talk to your family, talk to someone at your church (if you go) and really think this through. It is a decision that will stay with you for your entire life.

You always have the option of adoption as well, keep that in mind.

Good luck to you.

1. Killing a baby is murder.

2. Abortion is used as birth control........no regard for a child who can't speak up and say Please, Let Me Live!!

3. Many couples want to adopt a child.

4. You will give an answer to God for all you do. Think of the baby and not yourself.

5. Learn from this bad mistake in judgement.

6. Aren't you glad your mother didn't abort you?

Other girls /women should read this and learn that guys usually drop you if you get pregnant. They just Used you for sex.

Please think of this child. You aren't far along, so it probably doesn't seem real, but you can look at pictures and see how the baby grows each week.

You will get some worldly advice online........do you really want to trust their judgment on this huge decision?

Please talk to your parents and a minister. Don't rush into a bad decision. There is a verse in the Bible where God says "I knew you when you were in your mother's womb".

It's not my choice to make, nor is it anyone elses on yahoo answers. It you your choice and your choice alone to make that decision.

However if I were in your position, I would not have an abortion for a few reasons. Mostly because of the emotional toll it would have on me. Granted, I'm not big on the idea of raising child, especailly if i had to do it alone, but to live with myself after knowing that I could have had a child of my own flesh and blood, and I chose to dispose of it would not sit well inside my head. Years from the time it would have been born I would still be wondering what he/she would have been like and what effect he/she would have had on my life that I will never know.

But financaillly I am not sound enough to have a child, so I would chose to give it up for adoption. At least then I would know he/she was still alive, and that he/she is with a family who loves and cares for him/her. A friend of mine's aunt and uncle adopted two childeren and they say it was the best things that ever happened to them.

Another friend of mine was in the same position as you, she chose at the last minute to keep her baby. She is so glad she did. Katlyn is almost two years old now, and the most adorable thing I have ever seen. She and her mother are inseperable.

The decision is totally up to you, but I think you should consider adoption rather than abortion if you feel you are not ready to be a mother. There are plenty of people out there who would love to have a child but can't for whatever reason. Also next time you have sex seriously consider using contraception and think about the consequences of your actions.

You should have an abortion. When you abort, you are freeing up enough funds to save the lives of 12 loved and wanted children in a third world country. And you do not kill a human when you abort. Abortion simply kills cells that are not human life. Science does not even know what "life" is so anyone that says that it is murder to eliminate a fetus is a nutcake. There is no way they can know, because science does not know.

Christ is clearly in favor of abortion because he invented abortion and uses it every day. And because Christ uses miscarriage anyone that calls abortion murder is calling Christ a murderer. And the is clear that abortion is not murder. Every passage that says something like "God knew you in the womb" or such other nonsense ignores the fact that God said such things and then aborted the fetus he was talking about. It is clear that God thinks abortion is good.

If you abort it would be nice if you found a charity that needs support and help that charity any way you can. Anything you do to help others will always come back to you many fold times. God bless you and good luck.

No, you made an irresponsible decision getting pregnant if you didn't want the baby. If you don't want it, place it for adoption, grow up and deal with your choices. You made your bed...lie in it. Whether it is for 9 months or 18 years. There are plenty of people that would love to have your baby! You shouldn't have been with the guy in the first place if he was a jerk, I know easier said than done. Next time, get on the pill or use protection!

planned parenthood makes millions of dollars profit each year on abortion. When i was pg with my first, i went to planned parenthood, they tried to TALK ME INTO an abortion!! They are not pro choice, they are pro death.
Your boyfirend should not be an excuse... you need to give this baby a chace to live. Who knows how many lives can be touched by your childs life. There are people even willing to help financially a mom deciding to keep her baby.
You need to decide how far along you are, what type of abortion is typical for your ammount of weeks, and look up the procedure. You need ot know black and white what you are doing.

Also Abortion increases your chance to get breast cancer. It has alot to do with the suddend un natural hormonal changes in your body.

There are psychological clinics for post-abortion women where they go to try to recover from the enormous grief and remorse. Many never forgive themselves and are haunted for the rest of their lives. There are many more sets of couples that are trying desperately to adopt a child (apparently it is a very difficult process) than there are abortions in this country and everywhere else in the world. Let the child live and give it up for adoption. There will be many happy and good families to adopt it. What do you think the child would say if it were capable of answering?
