No, they are completely different things. Emancipated means you are legally responsible for yourself, and your parents no longer have any authority over you. This is done by going to court and proving that you can support yourself.

On the other hand, testing out of high school (do you mean GED?) means that, while you don't have a high school diploma, you have the equivalent, so you can go to community college or qualify for the military which requires a diploma.

So, you can be emancipated and still be in high school (I knew people in this situation.) Or, you could have a GED but still be a minor under your parents' supervision. The two are not related.

No and as a matter of fact, if you want financial aid to go to college you should have yourself officially emancipated so you qualify under your own income.

I was emancipated and went to college after 3 years of high school. I needed a letter from the judge in order to be considered independent for financial aid.

No, emancipated has to do with legal standing, which is determined in court. It has nothing to do with high school tests.
