I went to the hospital yesterday for my ultra sound on my baby and was told the baby was in early stages and he could only se the sack, yet today i was told my hormones are at 639 and told im about 5 weeks and 5 days....Then was told that it should have showed up in the ultra sound, has anyone any idea why i cant see my baby?????
Miscarrage and ectopic are excluded...

The reason, they may not have been able to see the baby, due to not having a full enough bladder, in the early stages of pregnancy, the bladder is located just under our uterus and is required to be full so it can push your uterus higher into your abdomen.. At your next ultra sound they will ask you to drink at least a litre of water just before they do it.. Just be prepared cos they push down onto you belly and you really feel like your gonna pee the bed...

6 weeks into a pregnancy is VERY early. No, you shouldn't see your baby on an ultrasound yet. After about 11 weeks you will see your precious baby.

at 5 weeks it's possible that they couldn't make out the baby on the ultrasound. When I had my 11 week ultrasound, my son was so tiny...he looked like a little jumping bean! If you are concerned, your doctor could prescribe another ultrasound for you!

5th Week Ultrasounds frequently do not show a definite fetus. Many times all you see is the sac. take a deep breath. Its not unusual at all. Also your reaction is typical as well

The technology isn't developed enough to see the baby yet. It's okay. Just wait a few more week. :)

that happened to a friend and she was just off on her dates. and a couple of weeks later all was fine! best of luck! and no worries!
