I saw a posting on a local web site for a free single car garage. It also has a lean to attached, has anyone ever moved a something like this before? Can I take it apart, label as parts as I go and put it back together... did I make it sound too simple? Help!!!

It is possible, provided it is structurally sound. Are you wanting to disassemble it, or move it in one piece? I would suggest getting some good friends, and go take it apart, and load the pieces on a trailer for moving. You could label the pieces, but when you decide to erect it you might want to change some things. Pry bars, hammers, and lots of patience will be required for this project. I took down my neighbors single car garage/shed for the materials. Luckily it was right next door, and I was able to throw most of the pieces over the fence. I didn't like the layout, so I stacked the lumber, and covered it from the elements, and used it on several different projects. It is one way to save on material costs, but at some point, you have to ask the question, " How much is my time worth?" Good luck to you!

I know someone who did this.

He had help, they jacked it up and put round logs under it so it would roll.
They had a flat bed trailer and a wrecker..some way they
pulled it on the trailer with the wrecker.

Then they pulled the whole thing home. They had only several blocks to move it.

They didn't get a permit they just moved it..

Good Luck! It can be done..
