use lots of cocoa butter or any good moisturiser for skin stretching and eat only nutritious foods and avoid fatty empty calorie foods. avoid too fast weight gain but allow healthy gain for both of you. There is no need to gain nearly 100 lbs, but a good 35 is fine. take those prenatals and drink that Moo juice. Fruits too because pregnancy can be constipating.

Cocoa butter is used for both preventing stretch marks and treating them. If the weight gain is due to pregnancy, the cocoa butter should be rubbed daily on the affected area. Cocoa butter should be applied to the skin soon after a warm water bath, when the pores are open and the cocoa butter is easily absorbed. Shea butter may also be used instead of cocoa butter. Use Cocoa butter every day, just after your bath/shower. I can atest to the MIRACLE of cocoa butter!! I gained about 43 lbs with my daughter, so you can imagine the possibilities for mega stretch marks. But amazingly I have none to show for it. People comment in disbelief all the time," OMG, you had baby. I can't tell!!" Use pure 100% cocoa butter if you can stand the strong 'aroma' because it works best. But if the nutty chocolate odor is too annoying use Palmers (it's a blend cocoa butter, mineral oil and fragrances) But keep in mind that its not 100% cocoa butter. Good luck and may God bless your little one.

I used Cocoa butter with my first daughter and only got a few on my hips, with this pregnancy I have switched between the cocoa butter and Curel Intense Moisture, and I have NO new stretch marks. But you have to put lotion on everyday after you shower.

Cocoa butter cream for stretch marks. It is inexpensive and can be bought in Walmart. You have to apply it every day though, all pregnancy long; and after pregnancy too for few months.

cocoa butter is great! but typically anything that keeps the skin moisturised. always after a shower/bath when the skin is damp and pores are open, doing this allows the moisture to be sealed in. however, if it's meant to have them you will. but moisture definitely helps with skin stretching.. darn genetics!

Stretch Marks are genetic - if your mom got them, chances are you will too. I have heard that Coco Butter helps, but in my case - not so much. But my mom has them.
