Have you read The Persian Boy, The King Must Die, or The Mask of Apollo by Mary Renault? She actually has several books set in ancient Greece, but those are the only names I can think of off-hand. Also, while they are set later (Roman era), I, Claudius and Claudius the God by Robert Graves are just incredibly good books. They're so engaging I had trouble putting them down. I even got my husband to read them and he stayed up all night finishing I, Claudius.

Other possibilities:
The Ten Thousand by Michael Curtis Ford
The Isle of Stone by Nicholas Nicastro

have you read the graphic novel the 300, Gates of Fire is a great read, I haven't yet found anything to compare to that, have you read his other books, theres also Illum by dan simmons a retelling of the classic tale with a spin since its actually in the future, it was at least a unique read
