There are some good and some bad on getting Moss.
He will obviously free up Donald driver and Greg Jennings they will get alot more looks from favre. And yes you ppl that hate Moss I can understand He played for the vikings alot of hate there. And he is another T.O. (baby) but i dont think favre as the packers leader will let that happen. Face it he is a good receiver given the chance

I believe that he would be a great package for the packers.. But the problem I see is that farve spreads the ball around probably better then any QB in the league.. Don't think moss will stand for that and i see another Eagles with TO building. TO destroyed that team and Moss will do the same to the packers who are attempting to build a younger team around farve. Remember theres a good reason the only team in the NFL that would have Moss was the raiders. Trouble Trouble Trouble!

I, for one, can't blame the guy for not wanting to play in Oakland. All of the things he was promised before he left Minnessota didn't come to fruition at all. They told Moss they would build a team around him, and they didn't so much as try. Seriously, who at all would want to play for Oakland.
I honestly think the Packers should give up Aaron Rodgers for Moss because that will free up Jamarcus Russell in the draft and, while he surely won't fall to the Packers, it will bump the rest of the QB's down a notch and they can get a steal in the second round (like Chris Leak or Kevin Kolb) since Oakland would then likely take Calvin Johnson. Or they could take a QB in the first round and a RB in the second, since RB's have traditionally done well in GB's system (Morency, Gado, Davenport, Green, et al.) regardless of their overall talent.
As a die-hard Packers fan, I could see Moss coming to Green Bay as having a huge impact for the franchise, and I'm talking immediate post-season. Favre has proven he can share the ball with two viable options when only a few seasons ago Donald Driver and Javon Walker made the Pro-Bowl. With all of the big name WR already gone, it's now or never for Green Bay to do what it takes to get Brett Favre back to the Super Bowl.
Sure, we fans might not appreciate what Randy Moss has done to us in the past, but nothing forgives more than winning.
I mean, the only reason Favre stayed was to win, so why not give him the tools to do it with?

it's unbelievable how things change so quickly..
Moss as a "solid #2 WR?" ... jeeza! A few years back, every team in the league would have given up a first round pick or more to grab him up...
Now its a debate over whether or not the Packers even want him on their team?!
As a Lions fan, I really REALLY hope it doesn't happen... but...
Randy Moss, at 50%, is better than most WR's in the league. The guy has more god-given talent than any other WR, except maybe T.O. Yeah, he has attitude problems, but if he's happy in the situation he is in, there's no ceiling to the numbers this guy can put up.
If the Packers have half a brain, and half a chance to get this guy, they better pull the trigger on that deal.

I have green and gold in my veins. As much as I hate his personality, I think in the long run Randy Moss would be useful to the Packers. If he is in a place he likes he will play well. He has said that he would like to play with Favre. He would make a solid #2 wr, and could be the piece the pack needs to get back to the Super Bowl. I can see Green Bay trading someone like Robert Fergeuson and a 3rd or 4th round draft pick for him. In the end, as long as the Packers are winning, I'm happy.

This is not a good trade. First, the Packers will probably give up way too much for someone who half a** plays. Second, Moss will probably stir up some kind of trouble, and last 1 errant pass from Favre could easily end his season or career, with the Packers biting the bullet.

As a diehard Packer fan, I hope that it doesn't happen. Moss is a toolbox past his prime. He would cost too much and it would be hard to accept him after all of his antics with the Vi-Queens. I can' see him adding a lot to the Packers, they can do much better elsewhere. Having Moss would be like hiring Ditka as coach -- it just should not happen!

im a life long packers fan. ihere everyone saying dont sign moss. this would be the best thing we could do. driver, jennings and moss would be a top 3 reciever core in the laegue. moss respects favre and would play his heart out for him. fans may not like it but it would help the pack tremendously. i reall y hope this happens
