I love the sound of rain on a tin roof. It is a memory of my childhood.
I always found it soothing.

It's supposed to rain the next 2 days here, and that's one thing I'm absolutely looking forward to. There's no better sound to help me fall asleep.

It is very relaxing.....we have a clock that has 6 different sounds and one is a thunderstorm, another is a soft rain falling. It's very nice to fall asleep to in my husbands arms =)

Yes as long as it's just rain.
But it sucks when your just about asleep and a big clap of thunder scares you wide awake.

If it is just rain and not a scary crackling thunder!
Besides, if it is raining then the monsters do not come out because they do not want to get wet.
