Says they used a fork and busted the boots.....My jeep liberty is a 2002 with only 60k miles. How do I get the Jeep dealer to reimburse my expense?!! Any advice? Thanks.

The mechanic says he can get my jeep to align properly, etc and tie rods need replaced....

I think you persuade the Jeep dealer to reimburse you for the damage at no cost to you or you will write a letter to Jeep consumer service. The recall is not supposed to cost you anything and if the dealer messed up - that should not cost you anything.

From now on, take your Jeep to the independent mechanic because he discovered the bungled repair.

this is probably correct,they should have used a different type of remover if the tie rods had to be reused.it didnt actually ruin them but in time the lube will wash out and then rust and debris will get in,so yes they should do something,be persistant, call jeep customer service,

Did You ever try seperating a Tie Rod end from yoke,The rubber Boot will usaley Split,unless you are a Magision
