How do I add a picture in a database?

I am using Base which is part of Open Office. So far I have a column for title, description, price, quantity, etc. I want one column of information to be a picture of a product. How would I accomplish this?

The best way to do this is to store the unique filename of the image, and place all the images in a specific folder. It is very cumbersome and, in 99% of cases, the wrong strategy to store the binary image data itself in the database. That is not what databases are designed to store.
