A real conservative advocates small government, fiscal responsibility and respect for individuals' ability to make their own decisions. And stay out of foreign interventionism.

Bush flunks on all these points. He promotes big government, he has run up the national debt like crazy, and he wants big government to meddle in all kinds of private behavior.

Examples: He wanted Congress to meddle in the affairs of the Schiavo family. He wants the government to have the power to impose government-approved prayer on children in school. He thinks the government should tell individuals who they may love and marry.

And he uses our fine military as if they are his own personal hit squad to go far away and impose Bush policies on foreign peoples who do not want our troops there.

Real conservatives are turning in their graves to hear Bush posing as a conservative.

He is a 'compassionate conservative', LOL.

He is moderate for the most part. He tried to sell himself as conservative in 2000 but proved he isn't one.

He is still 1000 times better than a Gore or a Kerry but he is no Newt.

I voted for him twice and would vote for him again if he could run; as long as the dems put up a Kerry again, that is

nope. he's what is called a neoCON. he's a tool of PNAC and a beneficiary of whatever power and profits they amass.
no wonder he giggles gleefully through interviews.

while Iraqis weep and bleed among the rubble of their country and our soldiers die in the dust or stare at the stumps that were once their arms and legs GW sleeps "better than people would assume".

People's interviewer also mentioned that readers had asked if he takes sleep aids. Bush said generally not, but he does occasionally when he travels.

“I must tell you, I'm sleeping a lot better than people would assume,” he said.

Hes republican. And for the rest of the idiots on here who dislike Bush so much, if you don't like the way hes runnng the U.S. MOVE TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY. And those of you who are against the war on terrorism, I take it you'd rather have Muslims take over your country, you want to end up like the Jews during the Halocaust??? You want Muslims to torture and KILL you like they do to their own people on Iraq?? Personally, I enjoy my freedom, and those who think 9/11 was an inside job, why would we cause ourselves so much collatteral (or however the ***** its spell) and kill so many of our OWN people? You people disgust me, and need to kill yourselves, your just taking up space and wasting oxygen.

no opportunist. He saw 9/11 as an perfect excuse to start a war where he and cheney and cheney's Halliburton can make millions of profit.

Nope, he is not a conservative. If he was the borders would be fixed, Iraq would already be won, and the economy would be doing even better than it is now.

He claims to be a Conservative, but many Conservatives reject that.

Bush is a Globalist, and his biggest concern is the rich, the endless war, and bad trade deals.
