Maybe it's really a McDonald's bar or dance club. lol.
I have no idea why a McD's would check ID's for everyone coming in. I would hate that if I were going there and didn't have one (if I were underaged or something).

the only McDonald's I've heard that ask for Id's and even check your bags before entering is located at Israel.

I agree with fibber...they must have been looking for an outlaw in the area...that would really suck if you couldn't get your burger because you didn't have ID.
