it was running fine and then all of a sudden it started running rough the next morning, i did ecu code and came up all clear, also changed out the plugs wires and distributor and set timing, still have problem, checked all the vacuum hoses and egr valve, changed out the throttle position sensor, it is a very simple engine with only two oxy sensors and one coolant control sensor and i already changed them out about six months ago, air filter is brandnew, fuel pressure going to the injectors are at spec, all cylinders have equal compression of 160, fuel filter brandnew, put in high octane gas from another distributor and still no change, only thing i can think of next is the injectors and coil but from what i heard coils dont slowly die they just either work or they dont, if the injectors dont work anybody else have any other ideas cause im running out of things to check?

yea the intake body did have a lot of carbon buid up on it i was thinking it got into the injectors...maybe, but the carbon was solid on it and not loose

You still have some other possibilities, but…
Use an ohm meter to test the coil, both primary and secondary. They can fail gradually over time, and get worse as time passes. They usually run pretty well until they warm up, and run under load. This is when they begin to break down.
Use the same ohm meter to test the resistance in all 5 injectors (cold-start too).
Use a quality repair manual to locate the electrical specs for all the components.
Other things to inspect are the PCV valve, and check that the EGR valve is sealing all the time. (For a test, cut a block-off from an aluminum can, but after the test, remove the plate; the engine really needs the valve, and you can be fined for modifying or disabling emissions components).
Also a possibility could be a flat cam lobe, though not probable, as your problem came on suddenly.
What is the vacuum reading during idle, part throttle, and part load? Is the needle steady, or does it jump dramatically?
Just some things to inspect.

Happy Motoring

the most common thing on this engine to cause this which i assume is a 22re, check the spring in the airflow meter it is not uncommon to lose tension ,or in many cases break at the end you cant see it without cutting it open. while the engine is running, open the air box ,stick your finger in and slightly move the door ,see if the engine smooths out ,email me if i can help

sounds like a injector to me -with it running unplug injectors one at a time to find out which cylinder is down then swap it with another cylinder and see if the miss goes to where you put that injector

Did you check your throttle body to see if its overly dirty, may need to be cleaned. Also how rough is it,is it drivable?Dont rule out ecm problems.Any other symptoms?

Possibly your mass air sensor??

How many miles on it? Is it posible that you have 'jumped-time?' Sometimes the older (hi-mileage) engines do, & it happens instantly, & really runs bad! I don't know if your compression-readings would still be that good, tho...
