#1. How can Sylar take Claires powers when she doesn't die and he needs to kill people to take there powers
#2 Since Peter Petrelli has Rogue/Mystique powers and can imitate them, does that mean he can imitate of the powers that Sylar possesses?

1. Excellent realization. Claire is like Neo in the Matrix and should Sylar consume her, her power to preserve herself will in time take him over and turn him into her, only she will be a guy unless they do some freaky morphing thing.
2. Peter in more like Rogue than Mystique. Candace is like Mystique. Peter can take the powers he has sampled from others meaning they used them in his presence. So far all he has of Sylar's is the telekenesis power, but I expect he will soon have the lazer in the finger thing, the super hearing thing and maybe the liquifying metal thing. And he is not imitating the powers but channeling them, so, if the hero who has the power dies then logically Peter will lose that power. Isaac's power should be the first to go.

#1 the power come from the brain.. claire kinda died when the stick when into her brain.. but sylar takes the peoples brain and then steals their power from it.. #2 yeah peter is gonna kick some sylar butt on next new episode if you saw the previews

#1: It's not that she doesn't die, its that she regenerates quickly... when she had that stick in her brain she didn't regenerate, so I'm sure if he cut off the top of her head and took her brain right out she wouldn't come back.
#2: Hm.. interesting. I would say probably. He can imitate anything that he's been around, so probably everything Sylar does too...

1 She can die..........in an episode her date tried raping her and she had a chunk of metal spear her brain. They showed her in the coroners office and when they tookd it out she then healed.
2 In theory yes he can take Sylars powers.....But you dont know if Peter will heal right away I hoped that helped.
You can go to NBC.com and watch all the episodes you missed until late april.

I guess if someone cuts open her head and eats her brain she probably wouldn't be able to heal from that, and Peter should be able to absorb Sylar's powers so hopefully it will save his life
