Not Recommended.
I do it all the time.
Thing is, you have to know what can get hurt.
High pressure can force the water past seals.
Stay away from wheel and swingarm bearings.
Be careful of electrical connectors. Even though the new ones have good sealing built in, they were not made for pressure.

I don't mean to offend anyone who has already answered, however, what type of bike do these people run? I put my Harley in a self operated coin type car wash all the time, without a problem. Just carry a towel to dry off seat till I can pull it out and finish drying it. No problem so far. I can't imagine getting so much pressure, or putting the pressure washer so close to any engine seal that would cause water to enter the engine, unless the bolts are loose anyway. If water can get in, then gas can get out. I guess if you took off the spark plug wires, and stuck the end of the pressure washer tip directly on it, that might cause a problem, but would you do that with your car or truck? The paint job on a Harley is better (in my opinion) than most cars, so unless you have a scratch or some sort of imperfection in the paint, chipping wouldn't be a problem either. Just don't get where these people come up with these answers....

Hate to say it, but you are in the wrong. Some of the stations I gas up at OFFER to sell me a car wash when I fill up. No Big Deal. I don't have to buy it. If I happen to have both a car and a bike, maybe I'll buy the discounted car wash when I gas up the bike so I can return later and wash the car. It's also a misconception that the gas station is owned by "Big Oil". Almost all gas stations in the U.S. are independently owned, and many don't even buy their gas from the oil company whose name's on the sign! These are basically mom & pop franchises that make minimal profit from fuel sales, so must make up the rest on soda and snack sales. Of course they're not going to spend ten$ of thousand$ to get the P.I.A. (and that's what you are to them) customers' pennies. That would be stupid. I recommend you thicken your skin and put your energy into more positive activities to ATTRACT people to motorcycling, not drive them away. Biking doesn't need to be PC.

Just try and keep it out of the battery box and the plugs. I wash my beemer in the car wash (the ones that you operate by coins and do yourself). and occasionally a litle splash on the plugs ar battery brings a little protest but it soon gets over it.

Be careful and you will have a good result.

high pressure blaster will force water in places it shouldnt be. i run it thru the car wash at times, but i never use the high pressure part, and i keep the low pressure at least 2' away from the bike. the high pressure is good for dealing with caked on brake dust on the rims tho.

I have always been told to avoid the high pressure washer on a motorcycle. Most places that are a "do it yourself" place have a low pressure option as well though, don't they?
