Along with rights come consequences.A minor doesn't have certain legal rights, but is also protected by the law because of their age.If you want all the legal rights that come with being an adult, then expect to be treated as an adult when you screw up and make a mistake. No more being charged as a minor, you want the rights of an adult, you also take the punishment of an adult.
Don't try to grow up to fast, adulthood isn't all it's cracked up to be.

The Outsiders is a great book...I had to read that one over 30 years ago when i was in school.

i think young people should be heard.after all they are our next generation.i do think they should lower the age of getting married as there are a lof of under the legal age mothers and fathers out there that are doing an excellent job and running homes smoothly and adult like .so they should be able to get married for their and their childrens sake.maybe the young generation can form some sort of a forum and make themselves heard in public and parliament.show the world they are capable.all very proper conduct and peaceful ofcourse.

You have human rights. But you don't have legal rights. Not until you turn 18. Its that way to protect you and other people from the boneheaded decisions you might make.

Also, children don't have a job at, say, 15 and they aren't self sufficient in any way. They don't contribute to society. Why then should they be heard?

When you grow up mentally, you will be able to look at the reality in life and see the true colors. Live one day at a time and be thankful for all of the "rights" that you have. Just have fun.

Young people do not and should not have any rights that don't directly assure their safety. Young people should be raised by their parents, and any rights or privileges given to them should be given by their parents. The government should not be in the business of raising peoples children, parents are the only ones who should be making such decisions.

The laws are fine. We are treated very fairly and there is not too much we can do as minors.

lets oppress them as long as possible! let's train them to work in our corporations for little pay and keep them from living any other kind of life than the options we give them!!
