i TRIED, as in, didn't succeed. I feel really bad, but what I really wonder is why anyone would say something like that.
it was during lunch, and a few little bugs/mosquito things were floating around our table, so a fe of the girls start trying to kill it with their textbooks, and i TRIED to place it on a leaf so I could put it somewhere else, but before i could do that one of the girls stepped on it, and killed it.

and i got mad, so they said, "what? it's just a stupid bug." and then some people who were watching called me gross, because apparantly, girls aren't supposed to like and try to save bugs. so according to them, i was 'gross'.

why is that? what's happened to the world?

That is so funny...I am exactly the same way and I catch a lot of slack from it. I am the type of person who has saved earthworms from drowning in puddles after a rainstorm, I've saved moths that fell in the pool, stopped people from killing bugs, I even caught a scorpion in my apartment and let it go in the woods behind where I live (I must admit, I don't like scorpions, so that one was a bit harder for me). I get a sense of satisfaction knowing that I have given something (whatever it may be) a second chance at life. You are not weird or gross...you are a kind-hearted person who doesn't glorify in the death of any living thing. For that I commend you, and I sure am glad people like you are living in the world today. :o)

You know?

If it dies, it was just it's time to go!

Sadly, life is but a vapor that fadeth away!
