Yes, I have... life has not been very pleasent to me. I'm 18 now. I had a messed up childhood. Grew up without a dad. My mom was never around. I felt so deprived of love. Thank god, I had an amazing grandmother who was always there for me.

I spent the most time with her than anyone else. But when I turned 11, she was pretty much gone. Not physically, but in other ways. My life just became living hell after that.

I was just so frustrated & fed up with everything & everyone. I was doing too good health wise or acadamically or anything. My mom was drained financially.

Many a time, I thought about death. I didn't have the courage though. At the same time, I felt like it was such an irresponsible act. It was like running away from my problems. It wouldn't solve anything. But what hit me was, going through all that, the tears, the heartaches, the misery...

After all that, am I just gonna give up? I've come so far... It would have been such a waste. All that for nothing.

Lol. Thats what got to me. Now I just take things one at a time. I've learnt not to expect perfection from myself. I can only do my best. People should accept me for who I am, if they don't, they're not worth being friends with. Friends don't judge :)

I've decided to be a Psychologist, to do something that'll give me satisfaction. I realised healing others, helps me heal myself. Especially when you come across people who are encountering the same stuff you once did. It's always nice to know, the person made it through :)

I believe a lot people at some point in their life think about and consider committing suicide. But, a very small percentage of those people attempt it and a smaller percentage of those who attempt it succeed at it.

The point is that when such thoughts cross your mind, you are not alone - and that most likely like most of those people you are going to find a reason not to do it.

Did I ever think about it - yes.
I don't feel comfortable discussing it here, but I know that my reasons were a much more compelling. But, I found a reason to go on.

LD or Learning Disability can be of one of the following kinds:
• oral language (e.g., listening, speaking, understanding)
• reading (e.g., decoding, comprehension)
• written language (e.g., spelling, written expression)
• mathematics (e.g., computation, problem solving).

I am not sure which of the above LD condition affects you. But here is a list of famous people who have/had LD. I hope going through this list will inspire you and motivate you to do something that will give you a purpose in life and make you want to live a long fruitful life... Here is the the link to the list:

Answering your question, yes, I have thought about it more times than I care to remember, but I'm still here and dealing with things.

For these rights you speak of, no matter who you are or what you have, everyone has the same rights as everyone else, it isn't for someone else to say what you do and do not have.

If anyone thinks of suicide just because of problems in their life, try working on the smaller problems instead of just trying to tackle the larger problem. The smaller things are the ones that add up most, and once you start working on those, you can find the larger ones getting better over time.

What is LD?

I think every single person thinks of suicide at one point or another. Not necessarily the killing them self aspect but maybe the thought of, what would happen if I died? Who would care? What would happen?

Or even the, what would my family and friend's lives be like if I were never born?

Every single person goes through hardships, it all depends on how they handle those hard times and how they move forward.

I thought about it seriously. I was unhappy and thought life wasn't worth living. I got counseling and take some medication for depression. It has really helped. I am so glad I did not kill myself. There are so many things to see and do. Plus I am nosey and want to see what happens to people and in the world. I would miss it. Now I want to live to be real old.

You know what I realized when I was suicidal? That I really did not want to kill myself. What I wanted was for the bad situation to end. That was about 23 years ago, and I realized that bad things happen to all of us from time to time. And things get better. I promise you!

Now, when I feel those feelings, I realize that something in my life is overwhelming me and I'm not in control of things. At that point, I stop and figure out what is the issue that I want to end. Then I stop and pray for wisdom and direction from God. Usually the bad situation resolves itself with time.

So, promise me that the next time you contemplate suicide, that you will stop and figure out what you need resolved in your life to make it bearable? Then set out an action plan to resolve it, or at least reduce the bad situation. It won't cure everything, but you start to realize that life is not really worth killing yourself over.

I don't know who you are, but I am rooting and saying a prayer for you!

It's a Wonderful LIfe!

yeah - there are people who could win a million dollars and
still complain - tell them to go jump!

Get out of our way - I will have a blast - every day!

I look at the stars at night and say - God - I have more blessing than there are stars up there - thank you, so much!

Who knows - your smile may keep someone else going -
AND you NOT even KNOW it!

Be There! LIVE!
