He doesn't.

He calls others "great Americans" based on his standards.

Not that dissimilar to how many other groups define other people they concider to be "great" amoung their group.

I would like to remind you that a PLO terror leader and the former president of another terror group, the African National Congress, were selected for Nobel Peace prizes.

Because he was one of the only people to accuse Abner Louima of lying about being visciously beaten and sodomized with a plunger by NYPD police officer Justin Volpe. He made fun of the case ("Lying Louima") and contended that Louima had sustained the injuries in a torrid homosexual affair and was simply preying on an innocent police officer.
That is why Sean Hannity is a great American.
Volpe dropped his not guilty plea and admitted to sexually abusing Louima with a plunger. In response Sean did what any self-respecting human being would do after sheilding and acting as an apologist for a violent sexual predator: He stopped talking about the story...thats it....no "I was wrong" or any such regret.
That's why Sean Hannity is a great american. He makes us feel better about ourselves. For when all Americans doubt themselves they can look upon him and think, "Well, at least I'm better then that".
