i have a video ipod. when i hold down the play and pause button at the same time it does not shut off. i have reset it and it does not do it."

only hold down the play button! if this doesn't work go to itunes.com and go to help!

Mine has the same problem sometimes. If I just hold the play/pause button alot longer it will shut off.
Dont fret, I think this happens alot

You may have a defect or check the top and see if the "hold" is set.
But to turn it off you hold the center button until it goes off....
Read the directions.....
