Can you legally drink on the streets or beach in Spain (Madrid/Barcelona)?

I don't mean walking around and being a prick and out of control drunk but just sipping on a beer or glass of wine.

Well considering that most towns and cities in Spain have sidewalk cafes and bars yes.

Now if you get a case of beer and go sit on a park bench they will most likely tell you to move along.

I have spent a few nights on the beach with female companionship and a bottle of wine or bubbly and never had a problem. I think it all depends on how you are controlling yourself and how much you are drinking.

ufff, now the law is punishing that. In tha nights, yes, you can, if the police don't see you, in the beach you can drink as you can if you din't left it dirty
